Hi,
I followed the video and text tutorials on how to set up the home page.
I've placed all the settings but no content is showing up.
Can someone help me figure out why this content isn't appearing.
Thanks
Becky

@ckymedia: Not sure what you mean by home page feeds. Is that the site you linked to in your footer? If so I see some errors and missing divs from customisation perhaps those are impacting? My suggestion would be firstly to check you've not got any unclosed or double closed divs then remove any javascript one by one and make sure any javascript is activated that maybe hasn't got anything being passed to it for instance a gallery or something. Then you can see what is the issue to your problems one by one. It's best in these cases to boil down to the smaller details and build back up.
Hi Tammie,
Just to clarify what I meant by feeds are the posts that show on the homepage. I have followed the theme option instructions and they didn't show. I also added more posts to see if that worked but it didn't. I did most of the customization after I set up the theme options so not sure where its getting effected. Can you please let me know where the div error are that you saw.
It is this site: http://www.ckydev.net/

@ckymedia: Well the footer shouldn't look like that to the side should it?
Anyway - so the issue is with linking up categories. Can you try and use the latest theme version put up yesterday the reason I say this is there was a fix done around the categories for ones with spaces in their names that you may be experiencing (you may not).
Sorry I'm not very technical. this is the first time I've played around with Buddypress.
Quick question.
The theme download doesn't suggest it was recently updated. Should I just download the general theme download again and reload that theme again?
Thanks
Becky
Hi
Me Again,
I reinstalled the theme but the problem still exists.

do you know anyone who I could pay to find out the problem?
I'm at a dead end with this one.

Becky
I just added the footer widgets and they ended up being off center too :(
@ckymedia: We don't do custom work but we will help you by giving you steps so you can pick through things yourself - we strongly believe in enabling users rather than offering a fixing service. I think the best approach here would however be exactly what someone who would be paid would do and you can do and save the cost.
The biggest problem: Your install path is daily2/ it should be: bp-daily and bp-daily-child so you have:
wp-content/themes/bp-daily/
wp-content/themes/bp-daily-child/
Do that and try to link up the post categories again, then the next steps:
1. Put on the default theme WITH using your customised child if you are using one
2. Remove each widget to see if one of those is causing it
The idea is you find the thing that is causing the problem.
Hopefully that helps.
Hi Tammie,
I followed this advice and have got the site working perfectly.
Thank You :)
